The most crucial skills I gained at OTTIMMO International were a strong foundation in hospitality standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. The curriculum didn’t just focus on culinary it also emphasized professionalism, discipline, and international hospitality etiquette, which aligned closely with the high standards at Qatar Airways.

If you’re an OTTIMMO student aiming to work for a prestigious company like Qatar Airways, focus on mastering both culinary skills and excellent service, improve your English (and learn another language if possible), always be professional and disciplined, seek international exposure through internships or competitions, learn about airline catering standards, build soft skills like teamwork and adaptability, and network with alumni or professionals already working abroad to understand the industry better.

3. What was the most challenging part of the Qatar Airways selection process, and how did you prepare for it ? What are you most excited about regarding your new role and working with Qatar Airways?
Actually there is nothing too challenging in the recruitment process, here we have 2 stages of recruitment. Maybe the most difficult thing is that they require us to have one year of work experience or at least we have specific or special skills. Besides that the recruitment process its very long. It takes 6 months from the beginning of recruitment until we go to Qatar. For me we need to prepare all, practice and the most important thing we need to know about the company profile and we know about ourself.
I am very excited to work as a commis with Qatar Airways. Here I am work at QACC QATAR AIRCRAFT CATHERING COMPANY (inflight kitchen) in here we can learn how to prepare the food and how to make the food for more than 150.000 meals daily across 60 international cuisines. Here we also can get new connection in kitchen with the chef around the world and get the opportunities to join international cooking competition. Besides that as a Qatar Airways employee we have so many benefits (ticket, discount and etc). I think its very interesting to work with Qatar Airways, because I will never see a kitchen like this if I don’t work at Qatar Airways
– Jason Ricardo

I’m really excited for working with the best airline & the best airport in the world. Working here is a new world for me where I can meet people and work in a multicultural healthy environment. I’m very pleased to work in a prestigious fine dining restaurant at the airport.
– Friana Elizabeth Audrey
I’m really excited to work with a world-class team and be part of creating meals that represent Qatar Airways’ high standards. It’s a great chance to learn, grow, and put what I learned in cooking school into real action.
